Keeping Your Aim High
"Aim high, Pasay!"
It's one of the distinctive slogan in our city in which I think have a significant effect on how I see things around me. I'm not really aware that growing up in this city will have a great role in molding my ambitions, desires, goals or even dreams. It's really plain and simple, but if you would try to start aiming at something, the process is not that easy, what more if you aim high?
I'm the type of person who always strives for more and constantly adheres to changes. I easily get bored about something so I always try to look for a diversion. I always take risks. I can easily adapt to the environment but when the time comes that I feel like there's something dragging me down or keeping my vision unhealthy, I will always have a preparation for surrender.
There are of course people that I look up to whenever I needed to find my self back together. It's in my personality to surround my self with good people with positive outlook in life.
One friend said that if I'll be in a desert, I'll always find ways to go back home. She also said that I'm as portable as a phone. It's a funny description, but, yes, I am that person.
Isn't it fulfilling when you do something that you have never tried before and yet it gives you an entirely new perspective? That kind of perspective that gives you hope. Hope that you never knew existed because you were always in that comfortable zone of your cubicle??I really like this quote and it's very timely because I am starting to view things differently, this time with the promise of hope:
"It has never been, and never will be, easy work! But the road that is built in hope is more pleasant to the traveler than the road built in despair, even though they both lead to the same destination." ~ Marion Zimmer Bradley
That is why I never settle for less... I always aim high.
