What are you afraid of?
"Most people are afraid of what they don't understand" - Man of Steel
If this is the case, then why are there a lot of people who don't want to try understanding? Why are there a lot of people who don't make time to learn new things and opportunities?
In my field right now, I learned from talking to people that the most common reason why a person doesn't achieve the ultimate happiness in life is because they are afraid to try new things beyond their comfort zones. They are afraid of the most constant thing on earth which is change. They can't give up their survival. They give justification that their current state - where are they surviving - is enough, just enough. Most people don't want to thrive.
I'd say I don't want to settle for just enough. Why? Because God gave us an abundant blessing and these blessings are just waiting for us to claim them. God is giving away those blessings not to put Him on pedestal and not to be more glorified. His is already glorified. He is already the king of kings. It is us who need it so we can bless and give to more people.
So what are you afraid of? Are you afraid that you can have the power to give more and bless more people? Are you afraid that there's a chance that you can give back to everything that God has given us?
We can't bring material things in our deathbed but the memories and the kindness that we share to people will always be remembered by those that we have helped. God will surely delight on your cheerful giver heart once He meets you in His kingdom. I believe that is something that we shouldn't be afraid of. :)
