Friday is McDonalds Day
For the past two months, my office mates and i are doing some chitchat about everything under the sun and the moon during Fridays at McDonalds food resto. It's like a habit already and i am having fun doing it. Why?
Because we would just talk about something or someone that we like or we do not like. And then we will assess why we are encountering these kinds of situation and why we have to deal with these kind of people.
At first, we keep on blaming some situation or someone, but after we reflect on what could be the root of it all, we will realize that, it can be about ourselves too. That what if we start first with ourselves?
And so last friday, we had another 'session' and one of my colleagues even prepared a set of questions and we had to answer it one by one..so here are my own answers (i've added some answers because, sometimes talking is my weakness and by writing it down helps me a lot in expressing my self):
1. with other people, you are happiest when:
>> we are learning from each other and we have a mutual understanding. it's like, you just have to take a nod and you will suddenly laugh without elaborating the reason why you two were laughing.
>> i can make them laugh
>> they can make me laugh breathlessly
>> you talk about almost everything and don't realized that you've been talking for almost 5 hours!
>> In short I'm really having fun talking to people (ala Gandang Gabi Vice LOL )
2. with other people, you are saddest when:
>> i see my loved ones(specifically my father) struggling or sad, actually my answer in this was quite not related, but when was asked about what's the reason for me being sad, this is the first thing that i can think of. whenever i see my father look so tired and not happy, it just makes my world so sad.
>> when my effort is not enough to make my family feel better.
3. with other people, you are angriest when:
>> i see them blame other people but in fact they are the sole reason to be blamed.
4. what do you like most about yourself?
>> what i like about me is that i am a big dreamer. my mind is capable of doing so many things beyond my physical capabilities. i would like to think that i can conquer and do anything.
>> i tend to be empathic. i can easily understand the feelings of other people and analyze the reason why they become what they are.
>> i can do almost anything for a person i care about.
5. what do you hate bout yourself?
>> there are so many insecurities and doubts inside of me that i can come to a point that i will hold on to grudges and not accept my mistakes. i intend to not recognize my mistakes. there are even times that i hate so much about myself because i know that i am doing the wrong thing but i don't want myself to stop doing it. yeah,,it's kind a like i have a huge ego playing inside me.
6. how do you deal with stress?
>> when i feel like im already stumbling down, i talk to HIM. deep and silent and intimate. whenever i talk to God the word sorry is said many times but not as much as i love you...
>> and then i'll write whatever i have in my heart and in my mind.
>> one thing i'm passionate about is reading. this way i can scape the reality and give in to the soul of the story and let myself be on the character's shoes.
>> i talk to people i haven't spoken in many days/months/years
so there it goes, those were my answers during that session. after everyone is done talking about them we came to realize a deeper characteristics of each other. i think everyone had the opportunity to know more about the people involved in the circle and making each other feel more appreciated and understood.
